1. What tattoo projects will Fran take on?

Fran specializes in Japanese traditional tattoos, different and creative ideas are often accepted but only serious clients who want work similar to Fran’s existing body of work should put their name on the notify list.

2. How do I get on Fran’s Notify List?

On the Contact page, click the “Get Notified” button and add your email address. Please note it may take over a year until you hear back from us and your patience is very much appreciated!

3. How long is Fran’s Waitlist?

From the time you put your email on the notify list it will take over 2 years until you hear back from us. Once we reach out and agree on the project you will have an appointment within a few months.

4.    How much does Fran charge?

Roughly $300 an hour

5. Does Fran take appointments for consultations?

No. At your scheduled appointment to start your tattoo, you and Fran will discuss any design details before he begins drawing the design on to you.

6.    Does Fran take a deposit for appointments?

    He requires a non-refundable deposit to schedule, which is taken off at the final session of your tattoo. Deposits are forfeit when you no-call/no-show for any appointment, or cancel with less than a 24-hour notice. You will then be required to send another deposit to continue booking appointments and getting tattooed. 

7. Does Fran do cover ups or rework old tattoos?

Fran does cover ups, but DOES NOT rework or fix tattoos he hasn’t done. Adding to a sleeve or around existing tattoos is generally not a problem. All cover-ups and add-ons will be on a case by case basis. He asks that you have good quality photos of your existing tattoos ready to share.

8.    How often does Fran work in New York City?

   Fran works in NYC roughly every other month. You can find out exactly when he works in NYC by following him on Instagram. When we get in contact, you can also request to be tattooed in NYC and he will put you on a list of clients to contact when he’s there. 

9. Does Fran take commissions for paintings?

Yes! If you’d like to have him paint you something please DM him through Instagram. Please DO NOT contact him through DM for tattoo-related questions. Tattoo related questions will go unanswered.

10. When does Fran work?

Fran schedules 1 - 2 appointments a day, Monday through Friday only.
